I'd seen the weather forecast and then heard it come to fruition as the rain hammered down on the motorhome roof overnight. With winds c25mph, discretion was the better part of valour and I decided to stick to the road that runs along side the coast path to Portreath and then picked my way round to Perranporth. That meant there was more road walking than I really wanted but at least I could get some pace up and I had a cup of coffee in my hand by 3pm. Not suprisingly, I barely saw a soul all day and then only because dogs needed walking - not that the dogs were showing any enthusiasm.
The van is back on my mother-in-law's drive in Newquay for the next 3 days: I pass through the town tomorrow on the way to Mawgan Porth and will be accompanied by a couple of my nephews. Jack has indicated an interest in my vast array of spreadsheets and I look forward to discussing these in great detail. I would imagine he'll be over the cliff after a couple of miles.
Brother-in-law Phil is on taxi duties while Suze has another lie in. She makes a nice butty though.
